I believe in the power of stories.

Big, brave, sometimes emotional stories that make you look, listen, feel and act. Stories that can make you pick up arms, or pick up plastic.

I started as a journalist working for UK broadcasters like ITV, SKY and ITN. There I learned about ‘finding the human’; that bite in a story that grabs the audience and makes your piece memorable.

I found and shot stories around the American elections, natural disasters and cultural moments – I even went over to the war in Afghanistan.  It taught me how turn a story into a news event. It taught me how to make decisions in strange and stressful environments, all while delivering on deadline, budget and brief.

After a decade I moved into agency life, building a fast responsive production unit for a large PR firm with one aim; produce big ideas and films that people will remember.

It’s the same principle as news but with a different output – fame.

Then I moved to Grey London. The brief from my Chief Creative Officer was simple;  Help our work make a dent in culture.

And we did.  For brands and ambassadors including Anthony Joshua, Captain Birdseye and The United Nations - to name a few.

Huge clients, huge campaigns and some huge wins, including a Cannes Lion PR Gold for a life changing UN project with David Attenborough.

And for the last 4 years I’ve been working at Apple, focusing on how their incredible products are changing the world every day.

All linked by the power of a good story.
